Staying at Our Bed and Breakfast in Upstate New York

The location of Journey Inn, convenient to the cities of the Northeast Megalopolis, makes it an ideal destination for reunions, gatherings, and getaways near NYC, DC, Baltimore, MD, Pittsburgh, PA, and Boston, MA.

Duration of Stay
Please check our availability calendar as there are often possible exceptions to these policies:

  • A two-night stay is required on weekends.
  • A two-night stay is required during our busiest months May-June, September-October
  • A three-night stay is required on some holiday weekends.

If room is cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival, the full amount of the stay is required.

Extra Persons – Only our 2 suites can accommodate a 3rd or 4th person. There is an additional $35.00 per night charge for each additional person.

Check-In / Check-Out – Guests are welcome to check-in between 4-6 p.m. (arrangements can be made in advance for alternate arrivals). Check-out time is till 11 a.m.

Breakfast – A full complimentary breakfast is included with your stay. We must know in advance of any dietary restrictions.

Children – Children 9 years and older are welcome.

Internet Access – We have wireless in every room.

Parking – Private parking on grounds.

Pets – We regret that we cannot accommodate pets in our guest rooms.

Reunions – We are the perfect place for your reunions. Our ideal location within driving distance, from Washington DC up to Boston, MA and out to Pittsburgh, PA and Buffalo, NY, makes us an easy choice for reunions of friends and family. Whether you are alumni of Vassar, Marist, or the CIA…or just friends getting together, our location is perfect for your reunion.

Smoking – Smoking is only permitted designated areas outside.

Rates – Rates are subject to change.

Payment:

  • A 50% deposit is taken to secure your reservation for longer than a one-night stay. Tax is an additional charge and included in your deposit.
  • For reservations of one night only, full payment in advance is required.
  • Confirmation emails will be sent upon receipt of deposit.
  • Deposits can be made by any major credit card, and balance payment can be made by check, cash, or any major credit card.

Cancellation Policy:

For all cancelled reservations a $25.00 service fee will be deducted from the deposit for each room reserved, when a refund is applicable. Please see below:

    • A fourteen (14) day cancellation is required prior to the reservation arrival date. If your reservation is cancelled within 2 weeks of the reservation, there is a penalty of 50% of the total stay.
    • A six (6) week cancellation is required for graduation weekends or there is a fee of 50% of the reservation total.
    • One (1) month cancellation is required prior to the reservation arrival date when three (3) or more rooms are reserved or there is a fee of 50% of the reservation total. There are no refunds for shortened stays.
    • Please Note: Voice messages cannot be accepted for cancellations. All cancellations must be confirmed via a telephone conversation with the innkeeper or via a confirmed email correspondence.

As cancellations may be out of your control, you might want to consider trip insurance.
