Culinary Institute of America
Welcome to The Culinary Institute of
America, the world's premier culinary college! The CIA offers
a memorable experience via their restaurants, retail stores, and
public tours.
If you have a fascination with food, you’ll feel right at
home at the CIA. Everywhere you turn, you’ll see incredible
kitchens and bakeshops filled with the finest equipment and supervised
by extraordinarily talented chefs, bakers, and pastry chefs. Fuel
your passion for all things culinary at the place you’ve been
looking for. At The Culinary Institute of America, everyone loves
food.
The Culinary Institute of America is located in bucolic Hyde Park,
NY on the Hudson River's east bank, 2 hours north of New York City
on U.S. Route 9.
The CIA operates five award-winning, student-staffed public restaurants
- St. Andrew's Café, Ristorante Caterina de' Medici, the
Escoffier Restaurant, American Bounty Restaurant, and the Apple
Pie Bakery Café. Reservations are suggested for all restaurants
except the bakery café. For reservations, call 845-471-6608,
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information

In addition to their restaurants, they also offer public tours
given by the CIA students. The general public can schedule tours
on Mondays at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Wednesdays at 4 p.m., and Thursdays
at 4 p.m., at $5 per person. Reservations are required. For more

from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The CIA bookstore featuring epicurean delights,
cookbooks, souvenirs, and assorted kitchen utensils is open to the
public.
Prospective students and visitors are encouraged to experience
the CIA firsthand. Tours for prospective students are available
on most Wednesdays and Fridays when the college is in session. Special
arrangements can be made for those unable to attend a regularly
scheduled tour. School group tours are also available on a limited
