Fall in the Hudson Valley is all about the foliage. As you travel around, the colors of fall are everywhere. Because we are a valley, the foliage season is a long one. Starting as early as mid-September with the first colors showing themselves, our season doesn't end until the beginning of November. If you like some green in your colors, then come before October 15. If you want to see the most reds, some after October 15 when the sugar maples start to change.
Don't forget to pick apples and pumpkins during your stay. We are at the center of the Apple growing region on NY. The fall colors will enchant you as you enjoy the bountiful varieties of apples.
And our wineries are harvesting their grapes. Sample great wines, beautiful fields of vines full of grapes and of course, the colors of fall foliage.
Hi, we are Valerie Valente and Eric Miller, owners of the Journey Inn Bed & Breakfast. After a lifetime in Brooklyn Heights, NY, we so enjoyed our own excursions to the beautiful Hudson Valley, we decided to make it our home – and to share with others our love for this wonderful part of the world. We are fortunate to also have Val’s parents, Victor and Victoria here to help us show you a warm and welcoming stay in our beloved Inn. We can’t wait to meet you.
